"This guy plays some motherf**king tunes!" – Samuel L. Jackson
A succinct description for a distinctive DJ, Andy Mac is the DJ of choice for those in the know. Equipped to rock any floor, the multi talented DJ and producer has successfully defied pigeonholes and instead weaves a catalogue of all his influences when he plays, as comfortable playing the main set on the terrace for Cream at Amnesia, as he is a dark, underground basement club.
Andy Mac has carved his patch as resident at super club Cream for the last five years. He initially caught the attention of James Barton, MD of Cream. James was so impressed he now insists on having Andy to be his DJ partner whenever he takes to the decks.
Now a firm Cream resident and a Cream Ibiza resident, Andy is following in the footsteps of Paul Oakenfold and Yousef. Cream Ibiza is held on the magnificent Amnesia terrace where in 2008 alone Andy Mac warmed up for Sasha and took over the reigns from the Swedish House Mafia.
Andy Mac’s Cream residency has taken him to Russia, Sweden, Spain, Poland and Germany. He has also been a Creamfields favourite for the past 4 years, playing alongside Justice and Tiga in the Myspace tent. He has also become a crowd favourite at Scottish festival Rockness in 2008, where, playing in the Soulwax and Skins Arenas, he played to over 10,000 revellers.
Andy Mac’s DJ skills are also flexed on the airwaves as he presents Liverpool’s most upfront radio show ‘Cream with Andy Mac’ across the UK every Friday. Andy also presents the Cream podcast that goes out to over 120,000 subscribers in over 80 countries across the globe.
Andy also programs all music at Babycream, Cream's flagship bar concept on Liverpool's Albert Dock.
In 2009 Andy launches record label Planet Rock with friends Cassette Jam and Doorly.
