From Khartoum city, DJ M. De Fan began his artistic spirit with the DJ environment since 1998,when he started to organize student parties during his studies.

Architecture is his first profession where later M. De Fan appreciated a lot to his architectural designs and projects that inspired him to create various mixes with a precise track timing and transitions.

2001 a person named Angelo [DJ CROSS] ,a former DJ from London with 11 years of experience in clubs with his Garage, 2 step style and a former DJ member of the electro ethnic squad The Prodigy.
DJ CROSS played an important role in De Fan’s life, who trained De Fan & DJ Ashraf a lot about DJ mixing skills and many other possibilities to play with the records.
2004 was the year for M. De Fan to appear officially in the clubs arena promoted by the DJ Night Booking Agency of Austria, standing beside DJ Ashraf Hassan and forming the DJ project called ‘The UMT Project’

The main UMT Project concept is based on creating a new style of remixing electro pumping & uplifting house music combined with professional drummers who brings live instrumental vibes into the DJs beat, in which at the total effects UMT Project feat. DJ M. De Fan & DJ Ashraf releases a new style of Tunes.

Starting out as UMT Project, M. De Fan eventually landed a residency at different clubs in Poland, where he began developing and honing his techniques and cultivating his emotive style, winning him a devoted following in the DJs world Ranking.

As a DJ/Producer he has several releases on his credit including various DJ sets and productions as Afrojockers DJs, which is his second individual DJ project. Firstly he produced with UMT Project ‘Feek Kull Alkalam’ for the Egyptian popular singer ‘Amr Diab’ & ‘Eurobica (virus edit)’ for the Lebanese pop singer ‘Samira Said’. Both tracks gained popularity in the U.S.

Nowadays M. De Fan’s co-operation limits are involved among various DJ guest invitations to perform live DJ radio sets and participate in different TV/Radio programmes & interviews for TV stations as well as acting for some TV serials and commercials.
