In no more than 4 years time John Marks developed into an awesomely popular phenomenon in the club-scene both nationally and internationally. John Marks` style can be described as Club Trance. His debut single Tracking and its matching music video was proclaimed Dance Alert on The Box and it reached a promising position in the Top 100.
Its successor Don't stop is supported by a spectacular music video, shot in Turkey. Don't stop was on the rotation lists of various radio stations like TMF, The Box and Radio 538 for a pretty long time. And again it made high altitudes in the Top 100 chart.
With his 3rd single Update John Marks decided to return to his roots. The Tracking drive was back! Update climbed higher than all his previous singles and became Dance-Smash (Radio 538) as well as Grand-Slam (Slam!FM).
After this John Marks released Do it Again featuring a Ron van den Beuken remix which made it into a raving success on the vinyl market. Do it Again got John well-deserved international exposure.
Music-wise 2006 was an interesting year where John Marks produced quite a number of international hits for and with others. One of these tracks was New Life, a single he produced with Roy Gates. He also produced Revolution with the popular Polish duo Kalwi & Remi; this track was used as the Anthem of the Polish Dance Event (comparable to Sensation).
As his popularity increases John Marks has been performing in many countries, on gigs in Poland, Russia, Spain and Greece, ánd has continued to produce a great number of tracks for well-known other artists, he still finds time to pursue his own flow. In these hectic times he produced Carnival; his 5th single. This mega floor filler launched him to where he belongs: at the top of the charts!
John Marks started the year 2007 with an insane record! 'Insanity' has become Dance-Smash on Radio 538, Grand-Slam on Slam!FM and it entered high up the charts of the Top 100 as well as the Top 40.
In 2007, John Marks' production level and popularity have taken on maniac proportions, it seems as though his success is unstoppable! In June, he produced the new hit single for the Toppers, Can you Feel it, and with Gerard, René and Gordon, he has starred in the opening act of their Arena concerts 6 times in a row! This song climbed the Top 40 to #8 and the Top 100 up to #10!
After this huger success John makes a mind-blowing remake of the 2001 monsterhit bij The Moon: Blow the speakers 2007. This floor filler, reshaped into a 2007 sound, was sure to find its way back into the charts, reaching #1 (Dance-Tunes Top 20), #19 (Dance Top 30), # 67 (Top 100) and #19 (Fresh 40).
John Marks starts 2008 with the major floorfiller What do you say, which brings him a #13th position in the Top 100! After that he produces Ron van den beuken vs. John Marks - Asylum and 2 weeks later John Marks - Summerbreeze the anthem of the Summerbreeze festival 2008.
